Frequently Asked Questions;

Q: Can I really learn remodeling in only 12 hours?
A: It’s a peculiarity of residential remodeling that most of the projects that create the greatest improvement in the appearance, enjoyment, and value of a home can be learned, then performed - in a reasonable amount of time and at an admirable level of quality - by a well informed and determined novice. So you’re not learning remodeling. You’re learning those aspects of remodeling that create the greatest improvement for the time and effort expended.
Q: $289.00 is a lot of money. How do I know this course is worth it?
A: We believe this is the best home improvement instruction available. Take the course. Apply everything that’s taught to projects on your own home. Then, if you’re not completely satisfied, you’ll receive a prompt refund of the entire course fee for up to 6 full months.
Q: Much of what I’ve seen and read about home improvement says that most projects are simple and easy. Why should I spend 12 hours of my valuable time to learn what’s simple and easy?
A: The objective of almost all tv shows, articles, and books about home improvement is to entertain. Thus the claim that home improvement is simple and easy. But when it comes to actually doing the work even the best shows, books, and articles provide partial “what-to” information only. This course’s author will guide you step-by-step through realistic projects that will enable you to DESIGN and DO THE WORK that will result in significant improvements to your home, yourself. And not just do the work, but do it right.

Preparation, planning, supreme attention to detail, and insight – times 3. Even after 20 years as a contractor myself, I still learned from Robert Sanders.”

Q: Can’t I just watch a television show or take a class at a home center and learn about home improvement for free?
A: When home improvement is done less than competently it’s, at best, worthless. In most cases sub-par work actually detracts from a home’s value. Valuable home improvements result from the combination of good design, the intelligent application of ability, and a confident, productive attitude. All of which require capable, well considered guidance to acquire. None of the tv shows and very few classes, books, or videos enable you to obtain competence in any area, regardless of price. So the possibility that you’ll acquire the required attributes for free, from any source, is near zero.
Q: I’m thinking about doing some roofing and exterior painting on my house. Will this course teach me about those things?
A: Only indirectly. Except for the design and construction of a deck, this course’s focus is on those non-structural interior projects that produce the greatest improvement for the time and money invested. Specifically addressed are interior; design, finish carpentry, cabinetry, ceiling and wall installation and repair, paint prep, and painting. Not covered are additions, ceramic tile, plumbing, and electrical work – all of which require years of training to become capable at and usually incur substantial legal liability. Exterior improvements and flooring aren’t considered because of time limitations.
Q: Why should I put time and money into improving my home when it’s selling price has increased without my doing anything?
A: Though increasing a homes resale value is a common reason for remodeling, it’s not the best one. Improving the comfort, convenience, and enjoyment of your home for you and your family – that’s the best reason to remodel. And when they’re done well the improvements that increase your homes appeal and value for you will also increase its appeal and value to others. This course provides the information and knowledge, plus the understanding of it’s application, that will enable you to design and perform improvements that will increase you and your family’s enjoyment of your home and it’s value.
